Take Me Southwest
If you only try one new trend this spring, you need to try embroidered denim. As you can clearly tell now, I am obsessed with anything embroidered...and cactus. Embroidered jeans was definitely a 90s trend, but horaaah it's back in! For this look, I wanted the jeans to be the focal point and let the embroidery do the talking. So, I styled it with some basic peices. floral embroidered jeans look great paired with a floaty white blouse so then I thought, why not channel two trends in one? Floral embroidery goes hand-in-hand with 70s inspired lace-up detailing in my blouse.
Since i'm so short, I felt like I needed heels to offset the baggy mom-jean style of these jeans. I went with pointed white heels to elongate my legs and to keep the look "clean". I topped off this look with my favorite pair of turquoise studs & yellow purse to compliment the colors of the embroidery on the jeans. OH, and I can't get over this messy-boho inspired braids that the talented Claudia did over at Salon Zen. I think it really completes the look! Something so wearable & ridiculously pretty is always a trend i'm on board with! How about you!?
