Hey guys! So, why do I love culottes?
Easy, because they are a great transitional piece into the Spring season. Culottes, I have to confess, are intimidating to style because of their awkward calf-length cut and wide-leg silhouette...BUT I have confidence that you can rock it. Here is one way that I styled these spring-inspired culottes that I picked up at Zara. The print of these pants, I feel, are oriental (which is very "IN" this spring). Because I am short, I have to be careful when wearing pants like these. If I wear the wrong shoes, these pants can be my worst enemy but these hit all the marks for me. They are high-waisted and the thick white & green vertical stripes help elongate the leg. Score! I paired these pants with a basic black boat-neck top and ankle strap heels to add some height and balance everything up top. I chose a basic top to keep the interest on these beautiful pants. I kept the jewelry minimal and stuck with my Kendra Scott turquoise studs to tie it all together. To top it all off and add a little pop of color, I chose a rust-orange lipstick.
f you have any questions on what else to style with culottes, holla at your girl & I would be more than happy to help.
So my dear, dare to try the trend & culotte on!
